About LICAC

Long Island Coalition Against Censorship is an association of educational and community organizations which have joined together to oppose censorship and to defend the rights of free speech and free press as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. The Coalition operates as a standing group available for action in situations where First Amendment freedoms are threatened. It also publishes an exhibit on censorship and conducts an annual program focusing on a current censorship problem. Two mounted sets circulate in New York State, and unmounted sets are available to public, school and college libraries.
